Hi Guys,

Wasn't able to update the site because I was pretty much busy in various things (such as Marriage, Job Switch and more imp: Mafia wars  ) for last few days.

Will keep on updating site if I found some good stuff to write about.

Offline due to vacations; A SVN Admin Screenshots added
Monday, May 10, 2010, 07:31 AM - General
Hi,

I would be offline for a next few days as I will be on vacations.
I might make a post or two if possible.

BTW: I wanted to deliver beta release of "A SVN Admin" today, which I am afraid to say that could not be achieved.

This A SVN Admin link shows few screen shots of development, till date.

I hope, you will like that too.

Thanks & Regards,

Aniruddha

Developing SVN administration Web GUI
Monday, April 12, 2010, 11:07 AM - Articles
Hi,

Since last few days I am working on development of a SVN administration web application. I just did not post about it; as soon as I started the work. Because, I thought, I may not be able to complete it.

But, after reaching some milestones I became sure that I will be able to deliver following targeted features:

1) MySQL and LDAP authentication
2) Repository creation
3) Repository access control
4) Profile / Group based access control for the administration tool itself.
5) Ability to give access to users / groups to certain hooks too.
6) Hook / Plug-in based approach to connect to other tools.
7) The differentiators : "The tool will be connected to the best tools / applications available"

What I mean to say by the seventh feature is:
i) Won't reinvent the wheel
ii) Won't try to push everything in this tool (eg: bug tracking, repo browser etc.)
iii) Will try to develop connectors to other great tools in respective fields. A few in mind, right now are: (BugZilla, WebSVN, mpysvnstats, testlink etc)

And in bonus, this tool will be released in with General Public License or LGPL.

I hope, a lot of admins will love it.

Thanks & Regards,

Pranav Mistri's sixth sense / Technology from the future, TODAY!
Sunday, March 21, 2010, 03:26 PM - General
Hi Everyone,

I was in sheer amazement to view Pranav Mistri's Demonstration on sixth sense tehcnology.

To be precise, its exactly a "technology" ie.: Science's application in real life.

Please, take some time to view his demonstration if you cant see embedded above: "Here"

He has said that would be "Open Sourced" which may make it accessible to all in near future. Let's hope, we don't have to wait very long for the future from "Minority Reports", "Pay Check", "Mission Impossible" and "Bond movies"... in real life.

As he says, "Digital world and real world should be interconnected."
and as we can see, he is successful in doing that.

Let's, wait for a while.

Added Tweetboard to Aniruddhas.com
Tuesday, March 16, 2010, 09:00 AM - General
Hi,

In order to broadcast quick messages, I've added tweetbord to my blog aniruddha.

If you want to add tweetboard support to your site, request it here

Installation instructions are located here: http://support.tweetboard.com/home/#tb

I found one issue:
You will need to replace single quotes with double quotes.
(Only, if your blog software encodes or adds slashes to your scripts)

I hope, tweets will help me reaching you better.

Towards the Grand Dreams!
Friday, March 5, 2010, 03:48 PM - Think
Hi,

I found this entry in my yahoo notepad:

June 30 2008
Forget about the details of whatever you're thinking about or working on today -- you can take care of them later! It's a good time for you to try to get ahead with some grand scheme that's been a dream.

I was very glad to read it after a while, I thought you would like it too!

Visionary Team Leader!
Monday, January 11, 2010, 08:52 AM - Fun at office
Hi,

I hope anyone with development background will enjoy this real life story:

_______________________________________________
Once upon a time, there was a visionary S.Q.A team leader.
A strong hold on M.$. Excel was what he excelled. He used to say, "Any project can be managed using just Excel." (And I used to ponder, "Wouldn't notepad be a better choice?").

He was very much annoyed with the useless BugZilla(?!).
He, then came forward to announce that, "From now on, all bug tracking should be done using M.$. Excel."

Although, he met a fierce opposition to that but he still hopes that, "One day, there will be no BugZilla around in Bug tracking as that will be surpassed by the super powers of M.$. Excel!"

Thanks & Regards,
